She is a globally recognised expert in internal crisis communication and a trusted adviser, trainer and speaker on communicating effectively with employees during times of crisis and change.

A multi-award winning PR consultant, trainer and author, Alison set up Catalyst Communications in July 2012 and has advised at board level in the aviation, education, training, finance and business support industries. She has a strong track record of delivering positive profile, enhanced reputation and increased engagement for a range of individuals and organisations and she is a recognised expert in internal crisis communication.

Alison is a top rated speaker and trainer. Her work has been recognised with awards from CASE, the CIM, the CIPR, HEIST, IOIC and Strategic Magazine. She is a Strategic 26 Global Leader and an Independent Impact winner 2026. She is a CIPR Chartered Practitioner and Fellow and she has an MSc in Public Relations from the University of Stirling.

Her book Internal Communication in Times of Crisis was published by Kogan Page in 2025. A finalist in the UK Business Book Awards 2026, the book provides practical guidance for leaders and communication professionals responsible for employee communication during a crisis.
